As part of their world tour, the renowned American ballet company Ballet Magnificat! is visiting Serbia for the seventh time. This year’s performance, scheduled for May 19, 2025, on the main stage of Dom omladine Beograda, carries a strong humanitarian message. The production titled “The Prodigal’s Journey,” directed and performed by top-tier artists, is dedicated to raising funds for the medical treatment of Teodora Martinko, a young mother who was severely injured in a tragic accident in Novi Sad.
Koloid recognized the importance of this initiative and has donated funds in support of Teodora’s recovery, as part of our ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility. We believe that art has the power to change the world – and that meaningful support can change a life.
The humanitarian nature of this event reflects the shared desire of the artists and organizers for art to become a channel of hope, solidarity, and real help. In previous years, this ballet troupe has helped raise significant funds for orphans, children undergoing kidney transplants, and centers for the hearing impaired. This year, all ticket proceeds will go toward Teodora’s rehabilitation, orthopedic aids, and a renewed chance at an independent life – together with her one-year-old daughter waiting for her at home.
“The Prodigal’s Journey” is inspired by biblical themes and tells a universal story of falling, faith, forgiveness, and returning to oneself. Its message – that God is a God of second chances – becomes a powerful call for compassion and action through the medium of art.
We extend our gratitude to the organizers – EUS Serbia, the Circles of Art Association, and PEUS – as well as all partners and the City of Belgrade for making this important event possible.
Koloid remains committed to the values it stands for – care, support, and tangible help where it is most needed.
